 | Bailan | |
Bailan...a term for Filipino healer, originally from the Manobo Tribe.
Our music speak of stories of hopes, dreams, aspirations of the Pinoy World...
Pinoy Roots Music, Pinoy World Music...
Our musical pieces speak about different stories inspired by filipino indigenous peoples' experiences such as:
Naghihintay (Sama Dilaut Worldview); Dios Sangre Eretum (Tagalog Katipunera); Bundok (Baguio Environmental Dilemma); Tug Na Kaw (Tausug Warrior Homecoming Lullabye); Bagbagtu (Revival of an ancient Cordilleran Children's Song); Peace in Our Hands (evolved from a Kalinga lamentation tune).
Bailan seeks to bridge "cultural appreciation gaps" in the present Filipino psyche hoping that our very own music will bring back home to peace, safety, prosperity and harmony the listless, restless Filipino soul.
Vision:
Bailan is a musical advocacy group that recreates Filipino traditions for the rediscovery of forgotten and/or lost cultural treasures which define the Filipino identity.
